Village of Warren
Warren was founded in 1843 by Alexander Burnett and is located on the Stagecoach Trail and State Highway 78 in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Warren had the honor of having the first female mayor in the State of Illinois. Rose Canfield was Mayor from 1916 to 1920.
Warren Volunteer Fire Department
The Warren volunteer fire department consist of an average of 38 members. We do several fundraising events throughout the year. For a full list of events and times see our Upcoming Events link. Aside from fundraisers we are proactive with Fire Prevention Education in which we team up with Apple River Fire since we share the same school district.

Warren School District
The Warren School District #205, believes that education is a collaborative effort of home, school, and community; and that all students have the capability to learn. We believe in stimulating the students to become lifelong learners, while enhancing their life skills through the best practices of the educational setting. Students will achieve a foundation to become productive, self-reliant citizens in today’s world.
